Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CloudWizard ("we", "us") handles information in two contexts: (1) when you visit cloudwizard.eu or purchase the Software, and (2) when you run the Software yourself on your own server.

The short version: The IMAP Bounce Manager is self-hosted software. Once you download it, your subscriber data, IMAP credentials, and bounce records stay entirely on your own server. We never see them.

2. Information Handled by the Software (on your server)

When you install and run the IMAP Bounce Manager, it processes the following data entirely within your own infrastructure:

IMAP account credentials you enter (stored in your own MySQL/MariaDB database)
Bounced email addresses extracted from your mail server
SMTP bounce reason text and message subjects

None of this data is transmitted to CloudWizard, to any third-party API, or to any external service. The Software makes no outbound network calls except to the IMAP server you configure and your own database.

3. Cookies

The cloudwizard.eu marketing website may use minimal cookies for essential functionality and basic analytics. The Software itself (running on your server) does not use cookies for tracking; any session cookies are strictly functional (e.g. maintaining your logged-in state if you add authentication).

4. Third-Party Services

5. Your Responsibilities as Operator

If you use the Software to process bounce data containing personal information (email addresses of your subscribers), you are the data controller under GDPR for that data, not CloudWizard. We recommend:

Protecting the Software's web interface with authentication (covered in the installation guide)
Running the Software over HTTPS
Including bounce processing in your own organization's privacy policy and data retention practices
Reviewing your existing lawful basis for processing subscriber data, which already applies to your mailing list before bounce handling

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data collected through cloudwizard.eu (TLS encryption, secure payment processing via Stripe). Security of data processed by the Software you install is your responsibility, as it resides on infrastructure you control. The installation guide includes security recommendations (HTTPS, HTTP basic auth, IP restriction).

7. Your Rights

Regarding data we hold about you (purchase records, support correspondence), you have the right to:

Request a copy of the data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements (e.g. invoicing records)

8. Children's Privacy

Our website and Software are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
